Left Behind, But Not Alone
Across Eastern Europe, many elderly people are trying to survive alone.
Their children and grandchildren have left for work in larger cities or other countries. Small pensions often do not cover basic needs. A lifetime of hard work has led to an old age marked by empty cupboards, cold apartments and long days without anyone to talk to.
For many, the hardest part is the loneliness. Days pass without a visitor. Health problems make it difficult to travel or stay connected to neighbours. As communities shrink, older people are often left to manage on their own.
Mission Without Borders works through local staff and church partners who know these neighbours personally. They deliver food, help with heating, repair unsafe homes and offer regular visits that remind each person they are seen and not forgotten. Just as important, they help elderly men and women reconnect with local church communities where they can find friendship, support, encouragement and prayer.
Your support makes all this possible.
A gift today helps meet urgent needs like food and urgent home repairs. It also restores something deeper. Dignity. Safety. A sense of belonging.
When you support Mission Without Borders' Elder Care programs, you are not simply providing aid. You are making sure someone who feels alone is seen, known and cared for when they feel the most vulnerable.
