What distance can/should I choose?

Ride2Provide is supposed to be a bit of a challenge for you - after all, you're asking people to donate because of the effort you are putting in. When considering a distance, choose something that takes you a bit out of your comfort zone. It should be realistic, but also a bit of a stretch. And, of course, it should be a distance you can do safely without risking injury.

When you're sharing about your ride, let people know the meaning behind the distance - is it your longest ride ever, does the route have special meaning, or does the distance signify something special to you?

Do indoor rides count?

They sure do! You can enter in your ride distance manually (let's be honest, please) or they can be recorded on Strava If you're on a trainer, connecting with a virtual cycling app like Zwift, MyWhoosh, or others you'll be all set. Just make sure your app is recording distance, or manually enter the details within your app.

How are my rides tracked?

With so many options out there, we've decided to let riders choose how and when they'll record and share their activities.
Choose your preferred app to record your rides and share your activities with your friends and followers via social media and email.
Our fundraising platform does track progress towards your fundraising goal as donations are made, but your rides and their locations are private and left up to you to share or not.

If you currently aren't using a ride tacking app, MapMyRide and RideWithGPS are two great options to record your rides and workout activities.

What is Donately and why are they asking me to activate my fundraising dashboard?

Donately is the third-party peer-to-peer fundraising platform we use to make it easy for your friends and family donate to your Ride2Provide in a safe a secure manner.
When you create your Ride2Provide profile you will receive an email to set up your profile on Donately as well (it may end up in your spam folder).

Where do I find my personal Fundraising page?

Click here to find yourself on the Fundraiser's list
Once you log in you can copy the URL in the address bar and use that to share with friends and family via email and social networks.

What about tax receipts for those that donate?

All donations are eligible for a tax receipt. Everyone that donates to your Ride2Provide will receive a tax receipt from Mission Without Borders before tax season next year.
