Why I'm running the Road2Hope:
Christmas has always meant something simple but powerful to me — family gathered around a table, warmth, laughter, and the feeling that everyone belongs. That image shouldn't be a privilege.
For families in Ukraine — including the millions displaced by war, and children growing up far from the homes and routines they once knew — the holiday season carries a special kind of longing. A warm meal, a little laughter, a toy under the tree, the ability to open the door and welcome someone in — these small things mean so much more when so much has already changed.
That's why I'm lacing up and running the Road2Hope 10K — because every kilometre I run is a step toward bringing some comfort and joy to families celebrating Christmas in the most challenging of circumstances.
