Prayers for peace after another year of war

It is my great privilege and honour to wish you a Happy New Year and to thank you for all your support throughout 2025 – a year that brought both blessings and trials. In the Christian life, we know these often walk hand in hand.

As I look back, I am deeply grateful to the Lord for preserving our lives and giving us the grace we needed to live and serve in the ministry.

The Bible says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:19).

I’m proud to share that, by God’s grace and your generous support in 2025, the Mission in Ukraine was able to send children to summer camps, assist large families living in poverty, and support the ministries of local churches serving children in their communities. Operation Christmas Love parcels brought great encouragement to displaced people and vulnerable families. These are all tremendous blessings from God for a nation enduring so much suffering, and I am deeply grateful that you are part of this work.

At the same time, it is important to acknowledge that the ongoing war in 2025 has brought even greater suffering to our nation, and sadly, we do not yet see an end to this evil.

As Christians and Mission staff, we do not lose heart. We continue to share the Word of Hope in Jesus Christ. Looking ahead, we hold onto the hope that 2026 will bring a ceasefire and, ultimately, a just and lasting peace for our country.

Please continue to pray for Ukraine, and especially that Mission Without Borders may remain a beacon of hope for those who have lost theirs.
